Velocity's Family Medicine research site in Hampton partners with Hampton Family Practice to conduct clinical trials related to general medicine and infectious diseases. Typical studies at this site involve medications for acne, diabetes, high cholesterol, and other conditions. This site also performs vaccine studies for people of all ages. Acquired by Velocity in 2022, the Hampton location was founded earlier in 2022 as part of Meridian Clinical Research.

Brian C. McCormick, MD is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians specializing in family medicine, including newborn care and pediatrics, adult medicine and wellness, dermatology procedures, and vasectomies. Dr. McCormick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Belmont Abbey College and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed a Family Practice Residency at Ft. Belvoir VA. -
Principal Investigator
Bobbie J. Sperry, MD is a family physician welcoming patients of all ages, including newborns and infants, children, adolescents and teens, and adults. Dr. Sperry graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and earned her medical degree from Marshall University. She completed the VCU Riverside Family Medicine Residency Program.
