Principal Investigator
Michael Hight works as a Principal Investigator for Velocity Clinical Research. Dr. Hight is board-certified in Emergency Medicine physician through ABEM. He works in two very busy community hospitals in San Diego. He is on the Sepsis Committee and the ECMO Steering Committee for his hospital systems. Dr. Hight is a veteran of the US Navy. During his service, he deployed multiple times, the most recent being as Force Surgeon for Marine Expeditionary Unit 15 to Africa and the Middle East. He worked as a Dive Medical Officer in the fleet and was Academic Chief Resident during his Emergency Medicine residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Hight spends his free time travelling with this wife and two children, is an active coach in his children’s sports, and is a passionate San Diego Padres fan.
