Founded in 2023 as one of Velocity Clinical Research’s first greenfield sites in the U.K., the experienced team at Velocity’s dedicated research site in Leicester conducts Phase 2-4 clinical trials across a broad variety of indications, including vaccines as well as medicines developed to treat migraines, diabetes, acne, depression, high cholesterol, and other conditions. The Velocity Leicester team of physician investigators and clinical research professionals are experienced clinical researchers. All physicians are board certified in their specialty area(s) and all research staff is trained in clinical research regulations, including GCP and HIPAA. Training records and certifications are maintained. Our clinical team is dedicated to conducting quality research in a professional and caring environment and strives on collecting quality data.

  • Matt Fisher, MBBS

    Principal Investigator
    Dr. Fisher graduated from Bristol Medical School in 2015 and worked as a physician in general and emergency medicine for five years in the NHS. During this period, he also completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and was an NHS Innovation Fellow. Dr Fisher started in clinical development nearly five years ago and has worked for both a Sponsor and CRO. He has led clinical trials in ATTR Amyloidosis from Phase 1-3 for CROs and was involved with regulatory submissions, protocol development, and early-stage clinical development strategy at the Sponsor level.
