Velocity's research site in Macon partners with Primary Pediatrics to conduct clinical trials related to pediatric conditions and care, such as infant formula studies, vaccine studies, allergy studies, and more. Families have trusted Primary Pediatrics to care for their children since the clinic's founding in 1998, and the practice began conducting clinical trials with Meridian Clinical Research in 2020 before being acquired by Velocity in 2022.

Located just off of I-75, the site is easily accessible to thousands of patients, including those established with the practice and diverse populations. All trials conducted at the site are performed in accordance with ICH and FDA guidelines, and in compliance with GCP.     Principal Investigator
    Board certified in pediatrics, Lance Slade, MD attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA and completed a residency at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. Dr. Slade joined Primary Pediatrics in 2004 and is a managing partner of the practice.
