Velocity’s team contributed to the new Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) comprehensive whitepaper, titled ‘Responsible Oversight of Artificial Intelligence for Clinical Research Professionals.’
The development of our VISION technology has coincided with the proliferation of AI and large language models (LLMs). For recruitment purposes, these tools have improved patient-trial matching, automated outreach, and enabled the creation of more granular potential participant profiles.
There are also internal use cases.
In particular, Velocity has developed an LLM agent that helps reconcile payments. Across numerous systems, this agent matches event descriptions with amounts paid and can subsequently update those systems. It achieves a successful match frequency of over 90%, which drastically reduces the need for staff review, intervention, and manual follow-up. This project has already shortened payment cycles by two weeks.
